If you are an employee with one of the Taxi Offices or a larger independent Taxi Operator, they may put you on a PAYE scheme and deduct and process your tax and National Insurance payments.

If you are not in the PAYE scheme or are self employed, there is a business requirement to keep proper income and expenditure records and complete tax returns to the Inland Revenue. This is especially true with the introduction of self assessment.
